New Delhi: Taking a trip down memory lane, actress Parineeti Chopra said in a recent interview that her parents didn’t have money to buy a birthday cake for her when she was a child.
“I have seen the struggle of my parents where they used to not have money for a birthday cake for me and my dad used to go to the market and buy one piece of rasgulla, just a piece not a kilo, one piece of rasgulla or rasmalai and we used to cut that rasmalai like a birthday cake,” Parineeti shared while talking to Mashable Middle East.
She also said that while her parents were not very well off, her maternal grandparents in Kenya were quite affluent and used to send business-class tickets for her and her brother to fly to Kenya for summer vacations.
Speaking about her luxurious vacations, Parineeti said, “My grandparents, who used to live in Kenya, were very affluent. So I used to go from Ambala, where we had almost nothing, and I used to go and live this luxurious life for 2 months every year because I used to go for my summer vacations.”
The actress opined because of this kind of exposure, she and her brother can adjust anywhere and bond with everyone.
On the work front, Parineeti returned to the silver screen with ‘Chamkila’ alongside Diljit Dosanjh last year.
She will next be seen in Rensil D’Silva’s untitled Netflix mystery thriller series.
