Bhubaneswar: Delhi-bound passengers from the city were stranded at Biju Patnaik International Airport here after Air India cancelled its flight AI-076 on Sunday morning.
Angry scenes were witnessed at the airport as passengers gheraoed Air India staff for their alleged failure to provide satisfactory information regarding cancellation of the flight and demanded that the airline make alternate arrangements for them.
According to an airline official, the flight was cancelled after it developed some technical glitch on the runway, minutes before the take-off. All passengers were asked by the crew to deboard the aircraft for safety.
On May 22, Air India flight- 669 from Mumbai to Bhubaneswar had to make an emergency landing after smoke was detected in its cockpit owing to a technical fault.
