Cuttack: A patient committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of the SCB Medical College and Hospital on Friday night.
The identity of the deceased and the reason for the suicide are yet to be ascertained.
According to reports, the patient was admitted to the destitute section of the new medicine ward of the hospital recently.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the deceased had removed the window grill of the ward before jumping off to his death.
