Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday decided to defer the steep hike in holding tax in Bhubaneswar, much to the relief of city denizens.
Echoing the sentiment, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi welcomed the decision by commenting that “good sense prevailed”. In a tweet, the BJP leader also hailed the “collective will and effort” of the people of Bhubaneswar.
“Relieved to know that owing to the resentment of the people of Bhubaneswar, the holding tax increase decision of BMC has been put on hold sometime back. Good sense prevailed. Hats off to the collective will and effort of the people of Bhubaneswar,” the MP tweeted.
