PET In Odisha’s Ganjam In Vigilance Net: Assets Worth Rs 4.67 Cr Unearthed
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials have unearthed alleged disproportionate assets (DA) worth Rs 4.67 crore belonging to Danardan Sahu, a Physical Education Teacher (PET) at Sri Dibyasimha Bidyapitha in Jayantipur in Odisha’s Ganjam district.
Vigilance teams conducted raids on 13 properties linked to Sahu on Friday.
According to Vigilance officials, Sahu was being examined to ascertain the source of his assets.
Among the properties raided were:
* 1 triple storeyed building at Anantanagar, Berhampur
* 1 double storeyed building at Anantanagar, Berhampur
* 1 double storeyed building at Jayantipur, Ganjam
* 1 single storeyed building and 4 shops at Jayantipur, Ganjam
* 1 double storeyed building at Jayantipur, Ganjam where post office is functioning
* 1 market complex at Balrampur, Ganjam with 7 shops
* 1 godown at Jayantipur, Ganjam, unearthed with storage of 200 jaggery packets and 500 sugar packets (50 kg each) suspected to be raw material for liquor manufacture. Role of Sahu in manufacture and sale of liquor is being verified
