Puri: A physically challenged woman was allegedly raped at her house in Brahmagiri area of Odisha’s Puri district.
As per information, a man forcibly entered the woman’s house on Friday night when other family members were not present and sexually assaulted her.

The woman’s family later lodged a complaint at the local police station, following which the police detained the accused and launched an investigation.
Medical examination of the survivor was conducted and the police said further legal procedures were underway.
Voicing concern over the incident, local leaders have demanded stringent punishment for the accused and urged the authorities to ensure a swift and impartial investigation.
