Bhubaneswar: Pakistan’s propaganda machinery has been in overdrive since India successfully carried out Operation Sindoor, targeting nine terror camps in the neighbouring country on May 6-7.
A widespread disinformation campaign has been unleashed in an attempt to regain control of the narrative through digital manipulation and unverified claims, particularly by pro-Pakistan social media accounts and influential political figures.
On Thursday, the fact check unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) busted another Pakistan’s fake narrative about its forces intercepting an Indian drone. “Pakistan-based handles are sharing an old image claiming that the Pakistan Army has intercepted a UAV drone that fell in Gujranwala, Pakistan,” PIB Fact check posted on X.
