Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bhubaneswar on Friday to attend the first anniversary celebrations of the Mohan Majhi-led BJP government in Odisha.
Soon after his arrival at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in the city, the Prime Minister was accorded a rousing welcome by senior leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Modi is scheduled to hold a roadshow from the airport to Janata Maidan to mark the completion of one year of the BJP government in the state. The entire route features vibrant Odia folk music and dance performances, showcasing the state’s cultural heritage.
The PM will address a public meeting at Janata Maidan and unveil the Odisha Vision Document 2036, the blueprint for making Odisha a developed state by the centenary year of its formation.
PM Modi is also slated to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects exceeding Rs 18,600 crore, spanning vital sectors such as drinking water, irrigation, agriculture, healthcare, rural roads, bridges, highways, and railways. He will also introduce new train services, connecting Boudh district to the rail network for the first time.
This is Modi’s sixth visit to Odisha since the formation of maiden BJP government in the state in 2024.
