Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to visit Odisha on June 20 to attend a grand event in Bhubaneswar marking the first anniversary of the BJP government in the state.

During his visit, the Prime Minister is set to lead a roadshow from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) to Janata Maidan in the state capital. Modi is also slated to participate in a Tirange Yatra during his visit.

It may be noted that the Mohan Majhi-led state government is celebrating its first anniversary from June 12 to 20. As part of the celebrations, Modi will address a large gathering at Janata Maidan, highlighting the achievements of the BJP government in the state. He will outline the government’s success stories and plans for the state’s development.

As per sources, the Prime Minister is expected to arrive at Bhubaneswar Airport at 2 pm from Bihar and proceed with the roadshow. The event promises to be a grand celebration of the state government’s anniversary, with thousands of people expected to attend.

During this program, report cards from various government departments, documentaries, initiatives related to women’s empowerment, employment, youth development, tribal welfare, and farmer welfare schemes will be showcased.

During the grand event, around 50,000 beneficiaries are likely to receive work orders under Antyodaya Gruha Yojana of the government.

Ahead of Modi’s visit, a preparatory meeting was held at the BJP state headquarters, attended by CM Majhi, State President Manmohan Samal, Deputy CMs Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida and Cabinet Ministers. The meeting discussed preparations for Modi’s visit.

The event will feature an exhibition showcasing the government’s achievements in various sectors. This will include report cards from different government departments, documentaries highlighting government initiatives, and displays on women empowerment, employment and youth development, tribal welfare, and farmer welfare. The exhibition aims to demonstrate the government’s commitment to the state’s development and its people.
