Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police has announced “Police Antrik Suraksha Seva Padak’ for 1709 personnel for 2020.
The award is given to the police personnel serving for two years on internal security duty in Naxal affected areas. After scrutiny of nominations made from different police departments, an official order has been issued for award of the Padak to 1709 eligible police personnel including 12 IPS officers, according to an official release.
This year’s number of awardees is highest so far. The total awardees were less than 1500 in the state since 2013.
