Cuttack: In a major breakthrough, the Commissionerate Police on Thursday busted a looter gang in the city and arrested three of its members.
Acting on a tip-off, a special team of police raided the hideouts of the gang here and managed to nab three looters from the spot. Twenty-seven cell phones, an LCD TV and motorcycles were seized from their possession. The trio was involved in various cases of loot in Cuttack, Kendrapada and Jajpur districts, a senior police officer said.
In Koraput, police foiled a robbery attempt and arrested five persons. Several weapons were recovered from them.
