Bhubaneswar: In order to check rising cases of burglary from apartments in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, the Commissionerate Police has appealed to the Residents’ Welfare Associations (RWAs) to instal IP-enabled CCTV cameras on their premises.
In a post in X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, Police Commissioner S Dev Datta Singh said total 64 cases of burglary from apartments in twin cities had been filed in 2024. As many as 29 persons have been arrested in connection with these cases.
“We are issuing an advisory for residents living in apartments. All Residents’ Welfare Associations in apartments should instal IP-enabled cameras at entry and exit points of the premises and provide the camera feed to the Commissionerate Police Control Room,” he said.
