Police Pick Up Groom From Marriage Procession For Cheating Lover In Odisha’s Sundargarh

Sundargarh: Police have picked up a groom going in baraat (marriage procession) for allegedly cheating his estranged girlfriend in Odisha’s Sundargarh district.

According to sources, Bishnu Pinga of Khokpada village under Bamara police station in the district had an affair with Sanju Kirkita. They were in a live-in relationship and also had a girl child. However, sometime back, Bishnu severed ties with Sanju and did not even respond to her calls.

When Sanju came to know that Bishnu was getting married to another girl, she lodged a complaint with the police. Based on her complaint, police on Sunday picked him up while he was going to wedding venue in a decorated car from Dharuadihi village.

The police took him to the police station and also seized the car in which he was going. At the time of filing the report, police were interrogating Bishnu and his girlfriend Sanju.
