New Delhi: With pollution levels rising alarmingly, all construction activities have been stopped in the national Capital.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said on Wednesday said he has directed deputy CM Manish Sisodia, who also happens to be the Labour minister, to provide Rs 5000 per month as financial support to each construction worker during the periodod construction ban period.
Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at 376 at this morning, while it was 406 in adjoining Noida.
With the Delhi government and the Centre blaming each other for the pollution menace, Delhi’s Environment minister Gopal Rai said that the problem cannot be resolved through politics, adding that Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) plan needs to be implemented in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana too.
