Porn Video Racket Busted; Police Arrest Web Series Actress

Mumbai: Mumbai Police’s crime branch has arrested actress-model Gehana Vasisth for her alleged role in shooting and uploading pornographic videos on her website.

According to an ANI report, the actress of Ekta Kapoor’s web-series ‘Gandi Baat’ fame will be produced before a court on Sunday. Some other models and actresses have also been nabbed.

The police reportedly received a tip-off that on the pretext of film and serial shoots, some people were filming porn and adult videos in some bungalows at Madh Island. A few victims also complained to police that they were being used for body trade and forced to record porn videos.

Police conducted raids at different sites, including those at Madh Island, on February 5 and 6. They ‘discovered’ a gang which has been luring young women into body trade with promises of offering them roles in movies.

A handful of young girls have been rescued and a few women arrested one of them being Gehana Vasisth. Winner of Miss Asia Bikini contest in 2012, her real name is Vandana Tiwari.

She made headlines after a near-fatal cardiac arrest on the sets of a web series and had to be rushed in an unconscious state to a hospital.

Besides web series, she has worked in a number of TV shows and a few films like ‘Luckhnowi Ishq’, ‘Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai’.
