Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu is likely to embark on a two-day visit to Odisha from November 20.

During this trip, she is likely to visit Mayurbhanj district and her native place Rairangpur and Badampahar.

Union Minister Bishweswar Tudu revealed about President’s 2-day visit to the state while speaking to the media on Tuesday. “Since the President will be visiting Mayurbhanj, we are planning to keep Ekalvya Model School, which has been completed, in Kuliana ready for inauguration. Five to six more such school will be opened in the district by the end of December. Work is also in progress in other districts,” he said after a review meeting during which status of 87 Ekalavya model schools awarded to central PSUs was discussed.

Rairangpur MLA Naba Charan Majhi had earlier told the media that she would attend All-India Santhali Writers’ Conference at Baripada on November 20. “The President will spend the night at her residence at Rairangpur.
