Bhubaneswar: President Ram Nath Kovind will arrive in Bhubaneswar on Friday on a two-day visit.
He will be received by Governor Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and others at Biju Patnaik International Airport at 2.45 pm. He will then proceed to the Pilgrim Town of Puri and spend the night at Raj Bhawan there.
The President will have a darshan of the sibling deities at Jagannath Temple at 5 pm. He is expected to spend around 45 minutes in the 12th-century shrine.
The following day, the President will inaugurate the three-year celebration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Srimad Bhakti Sidhant Saraswati Goswami Prabhupada, the founder of Goudiya Mission. He will also visit Sri Chaitanya Gaudiya Mutt at 10.30 am and then take a flight back to Delhi the same day.
On Thursday, a team of six Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel had inspected the Talabania helipad in Pilgrim Town.
Starting from the Talabania helipad to his accommodation, his visit to the Jagannath temple and Goudiya Missions programme, all necessary arrangements are being made, Puri Collector Samarth Verma told the media on Thursday.
This is the third visit of the President to the Pilgrim Town.
