Bhubaneswar: Consequent upon liberalizing the guidelines for release and utilization of grants under UNNATI scheme and considering the prevailing health situation in the urban areas due to COVID-19 outbreak, the Odisha government has sanctioned Rs 21.10 crore in favour of 114 urban local bodies (ULBs) to take preventive measures to counter the pandemic.
The fund has been sanctioned and released by the Housing and Urban Development Department.
Of Rs 21.10 crore, each Notified Area Council (NAC) and Municipality will receive Rs 10 lakh and Rs 25 lakh respectively.
While the Municipal Corporation of Cuttack (CMC), Berhampur (BeMC), Rourkela (RMC) and Sambalpur (SMC) will receive Rs 50 lakh each, Rs 1 crore has been earmarked for the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
