Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar at 5 pm on Tuesday (December 3).
The president will be on a five days visit to Odisha.
On December 4, she will have darshan of sibling deities at Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri between 10.15 am and 10.40 am. She will then attend the Navy Day operational demonstration at Puri blue flag beach at 3.55 pm to commemorate the successful ‘Operation Trident’ in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, that struck a decisive blow to the enemy.
The event hosted by Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, the Chief of Naval Staff, will showcase the Navy’s prowess and commitment towards safeguarding India’s maritime interests and will also highlight the historical connect of Odisha as a maritime giant in medieval and modern history, an official release said.
On December 5, President will grace the 40th Convocation of Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT) as the chief guest. She will inaugurate New Judicial Court Complex in Bhubaneswar the same day.
On December 6 & 7, Murmu will be in Mayurbhanj district. She leave for Delhi at 12.35 pm on December 7.

The President last visited Odisha in July this year.
NAVY DAY CELEBRATION IN PURI
Full dress rehearsal by Indian Navy, featuring thrilling displays of coordinated ship manoeuvres, helicopters, fighter jets, patrol aircraft mock rescues, is on at Puri ahead of the Navy Day celebrations on December 4.
Fifteen ships, including INS Jalashwa, India’s largest amphibious ship, tanker INS Shakti, missile destroyer INS Ranvir and stealth frigate INS Satpura, more than 40 aircraft, submarines and the Marine Commandos along with personnel and equipment from the Indian Army will be participating in the Operational Demonstration. The highlights include high-octane aerial dominance display by Mig-29K and Hawk fighter jets, combat manoeuvres to demonstration of rescue operations by Marine Commandos (MARCOS) from helicopters, submarine display, amphibious operations and rocket firing by warships. The evening will conclude with the traditional Beating Retreat Ceremony by the Eastern Naval Command Band and Continuity Drill followed by Drone and Laser show.
More than 7,000 guests have been invited to attend the event.
Traffic Guidelines : Indian Navy and the State Government of Odisha are operating in close co-ordination to facitate smooth movement of public, visiting the beach for the event and for regulated entry and exit. Advisory for traffic guidelines are being issued by local authorities to the general public with locations for parking being clearly indicated.
As per the advisory, no vehicle will be allowed from Penthakata Square to Subash Bose Square, Light House to Digabareni and Subash Bose Square to Acharya Harihar Square. The restrictions will remain in force from December 1 till the end of Navy Day celebration on December 4.

Appeal to Public : A full dress rehearsal will be conducted on Monday during which many naval aircraft floew off Puri for various air demonstrations and fly past. People have been advised not to litter garbage/ any other food materials in and around the Blue Flag Beach, which could be a potential flight safety hazard. Flying of Drones/ Drone Camera/ Kites are strictly prohibited during the event, as they can interfere with aircraft movements and compromise public safety.
