Bhubaneswar: All private buses will stay off the roads across the state from March 14 seeking immediate fulfilment of their 11-point charter of demands.
A decision in this regard was taken at the general body meeting of the All Odisha Private Bus Owners’ Association on Friday.
“We have decided to launch an indefinite strike from 6 am on March 14 as the state government has been showing a step-motherly attitude towards us. We have submitted a memorandum to the state government earlier on February 19, seeking clarification on route map for the city buses and demanded withdrawal of hike in motor vehicle tax. But no heed has been paid to the demands”, association president Prakash Mishra said.
