Private Hospital In Cuttack Delisted From BSKY For Fire Mishap
Bhubaneswar: The private hospital in Odisha’s Cuttack, where a major fire broke out on Saturday, has been delisted from the state government’s BSKY scheme.
The Health and Family Welfare department, in a notification on Sunday, said the private health facility, Trisha Hospital, in Cuttack has been removed from the panel of the government’s Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY).
The decision has been taken pending the investigation into the fire mishap in the hospital, it added.
The infant, who reportedly belonged to Chandbali area of Bhadrak district and there was no fire-related injury on the body of the baby, sources said.
As many as 45 patients were evacuated from the hospital in Purighat area of Cuttack after the fire broke out. They included 17 newborns.
The newborns were shifted to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Paediatrics (Sishu Bhawan). One of them succumbed during treatment in Sishu Bhawan on Sunday.
