Bhubaneswar: The Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), Bhubaneswar Chapter, unanimously elected its new chairman and other key office bearers for the next two years, at its 6th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday evening.
“The election of the youthful new team is all set to take the chapter to greater heights and further enrich the public relations profession in Odisha,” a senior member of PRSI said.
Sudhi Ranjan Mishra, a seasoned professional with extensive experience and presently the Head of Corporate Affairs, Paradeep Phosphates Ltd, has been elected as the new Chairman of the PRSI Bhubaneswar Chapter.
Known for his strong leadership skills and deep understanding of the industry, his vision for the upcoming term includes enhancing professional standards of public relations and fostering collaboration among industry stakeholders.
Sanjay Kumar Sahoo, DGM- Corporate Communication, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd will be the vice chairman of PRSI, Bhubaneswar Chapter, for the next two years. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, State Head – Corporate Communication, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. has been elected as secretary of the chapter.
Similarly, Ansuman Pattnayak, Head – Corporate Communication, PR and Branding, Kalinga Hospital Ltd. has been elected as the treasurer and Sandeep Sethi, DGM – Corporate Communication, Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has been elected as joint secretary of the chapter.
The newly formed executive committee of the chapter includes industry veterans Shashank Pattnaik and Amarjyoti Mahapatra along with experienced young turks Sambit Mohanty, Dharitri Satpathy, Dipanwita Mishra and Anurag Sahu.
The newly-elected team is committed to further the growth and development of PR as a profession, organizing skill-building workshops, seminars, PR boot camps for students along with networking events, and ensuring that the chapter plays an important role in shaping the communication landscape in Odisha.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudhi Ranjan Mishra, the newly elected chairman of PRSI, Bhubaneswar Chapter, said: “The new team will strive to make the society more vibrant and visible through meaningful collaborations and organising many PR centric events in the state”.
