Puri Jagannath Temple Servitor Invited To Anant Ambani Wedding
Puri: A servitor of Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri has received invitation card for the wedding of industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani set to be held on July 12 in Mumbai.
Servitor Jagannath Kar is stated to be highly excited after being invited to the high-profile wedding. ‘Vishnu Sahasra Naam’ started playing as he opened the invitation card.
Describing Anant Ambani is a great devotee of Lord Jagannath, Kar said Anant had visited Puri twice to have Lord Jagannath’s darshan and seek the blessings of the sibling deities. Kar had then facilitated Anant’s smooth darshan of the deities in the 12th century shrine.
Anant has also contributed to the development of Shree Jagannath Temple in the pilgrim town. He donated silver for the silver cladding of the door of the temple. Kar has been in contact with Anant since his visit to the shrine.
Anant and his wife would also visit Puri after their marriage and seek Lord Jagannath’s blessings, he said.
Stating that Anant had invited him verbally for his marriage ceremony when he last visited the temple, Kar said he had never thought he would send an invitation card.
“Despite being a big industrialist, he has shown respect towards me by sending the invitation card. I have also got a phone call from his side to join the marriage ceremony,” he said.
Noting that all servitors are now busy for Rath Yatra, Kar said he is praying Lord Jagannath for permission to attend the wedding ceremony in Mumbai.
