Bhubaneswar: PV Sindhu won the Singapore Open title after beating World No. 11 Chinese shuttler and reigning Asian champion Wang Zhi Yi 21-9, 11-21, 21-15 in the final at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore, on Sunday.
This is the third title of the season for Sindhu and her first in Super 500 level tournaments. She had earlier won the Swiss Open and Syed Modi International (both Super 300 level tournaments).

With the Commonwealth Games around the corner, this hard-fought victory should give her confidence to go for gold in Birmingham.
