Balangir: At a time when conditions are worsening with rise in COVID-19 cases, a private pathology laboratory in Balangir district was playing with the lives of people by conducting tests though it was not certified by the district administration for the purpose.
On a tip-off, Balangir Town Police reached laboratory operating and sealed it.
According to police, the laboratory was charging Rs 200 per person for the COVID test though it had no permission for it.
It may be mentioned here that only government hospitals and healthcare centres have the permission to conduct COVID tests.
