Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty wind is likely to lash Odisha’s Khurda district, including Bhubaneswar city, on Friday night, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
In a message issued at 8.30 pm, the IMD sounded a yellow warning for Khurda district, including Bhubaneswar. Moderate thunderstorm, lightning, rain and gusty wind may occur in some places of the district during next one hour.

People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
