Rain Relief After 2-4°C Rise In Day Temperature In Odisha During Next 24 Hours

Bhubaneswar: The day temperature in Odisha is likely to rise by by 2-4°C during next 24 hours and fall thereafter by 2-3°C at many places amid rain forecast, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre informed on Wednesday.

However, there will be no large change in the night temperature across the state, according to the midday bulletin.

The weather agency has also issued yellow warning of thunderstorm with lightning for Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj on March 16-17.

Light to moderate rain/thundershower may occur at one or two places in coastal Odisha ,Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, and Boudh districts.

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers is likely at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Keonjhar.

Light to moderate rain/thundershower may occur at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Keonjhar

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers may occur at one or two places in all districts of Odisha.

In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 38.1°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district folowed by Boudh, Titlagarh and Balangir at 38 °C. The mercury level in twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack also rose to 37 and 36.2°C, respectively.
