Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for eight districts of Odisha, including state capital Bhubaneswar, till 3.30 pm on Monday.
Light to moderate rain or thunderstorms along with lightning may occur at a few places in the districts of Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Puri, Malkangiri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Nuapada and Jagatsinghpur during this period. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.

Earlier in the day, the Met office had warned of moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm/lightning and gusty wind at 30-40kmph at isolated places in Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur districts till 2.41 pm.
