Bhubaneswar: Rain accompanied by lightning and thunder is likely to lash 21 districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar and Kataka cities, during next three hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning on Thursday.
In a message issued at 2:15 pm, the IMD said light to moderate rain, along with thunder and lightning is likely to occur in the districts of Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsingpur, Puri, Nayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkanagiri, Khandamal, Jajpur, Kataka (including Kataka City), Khordha (including Bhubaneswar City), Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar, Anugola, Dhenkanal, Sundaragada and Sambalpur during next three hours. A yellow warning was issued for these districts.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and plan accordingly for their safety.
