Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thunderstorm and lightning is likely to lash at least ten districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack cities, on Monday afternoon, the India Meteorological Department said in nowcast warnings.
In a message issued at 2.40 pm, the IMD sounded a yellow warning for Khurda (including Bhubaneswar city) and Cuttack (including Cuttack city) districts. light to moderate rain or thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind may occur in these districts in next three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening condition.
In another message issued at 2.30 pm, the weather agency sounded a yellow warning for Bhadrak, Balasore, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Ganjam, Puri, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapada for three hours.
