Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has issued a fresh nowcast warning for six districts of Odisha, including twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Kataka, till 4.10 pm on Friday.
Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning may occur at a few places in Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city), Kataka (including Kataka city), Puri, Kendrapada, Dhenkanal and Jagatsinghpur during the next 3 hours,
The Met Office has advised people to keep a close watch on the weather and plan their outdoor travel or activities accordingly. Residents, commuters, and school-goers in urban pockets, particularly Bhubaneswar and Kataka, are encouraged to seek safe shelter during lightning strikes and avoid standing under tall trees or near metallic structures.
