Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’ Announcement Teaser: Every Frame Gives Goosebumps, Say Fans [Watch]

Hyderabad: On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, Sun Pictures took to its social media handle to unveil a power-packed announcement teaser of ‘Jailer 2’ featuring megastar Rajinikanth.

In the teaser video, music director Anirudh Ravichander and filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar are seen discussing a new script while relaxing. Soon, the duo’s discussion is interrupted by random men being shot or attacked with an axe.

Eventually, Rajinikanth makes his entry with a gun, and it’s revealed that the actor is behind the bloodshed.

The teaser ends showing the superstar blasting a bomb and confirming his role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian in the film.

Expressing his gratitude to Rajinikanth while announcing the film on X, the director wrote, “Immensely happy to announce my next film #Jailer2 with the one and only #Superstar #Thalaivar @rajinikanth sir and with my favourite @sunpictures #Kalanithimaran sir and my dearest loving friend @anirudhofficial and thanks to my team @KVijayKartik @Nirmalcuts @KiranDrk #pallavisingh #chethan @kabilanchelliah #suren (sic).”

The teaser announcement left fans elated.

The prequel ‘Jailer’, released in 2023, was a blockbuster at the box office.

Starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, alongside Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vasanth Ravi, Mirnaa Menon, Yogi Babu, and Sunil in supporting roles, the film earned ₹604.5 crore worldwide and ₹348.55 crore in India.
