Mumbai: The trailer of Ranveer Singh’s most-anticipated spy-thriller sequel ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has sent social media into a tizzy, with fans calling it fire.
The makers dropped the trailer online late on Friday night, soon after Ranveer unveiled the first look on his Instagram handle.
Helmed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel appears to be more emotionally intense than the first instalment.
One of the biggest highlights of the 3-minute and 25-second trailer is Ranveer’s striking transformation. Unlike the rugged avatar which he sported in the first instalment, the actor appears clean-shaven this time, hinting at a new chapter.
The teaser also reveals that Ranveer is no longer just undercover agent Hamza, but his real identity, Jaskirat Singh Rangi, is finally unveiled — a twist that has already sent fans into a frenzy ahead of the film’s release.
While ‘Dhurandhar’ revolved around agent Hamza Ali Mazari infiltrating Karachi’s crime networks to take down the notorious Rehman Dacait, its sequel will be exploring Jaskirat’s past and the emotional and physical toll of living a double life inside the criminal underworld.
Soon after the trailer was unveiled, fans flooded social media platforms with enthusiastic reactions.
One comment read, “ON MY FREAKINNN KNEES. INSANEEEE.”
Another wrote, “LETS GOOO BRO 🔥🔥🔥.” Several viewers celebrated the character reveal as well, with one saying, “Make way for Lyari ka badshah: Jaskirat Singh Rangi 🔥🔥.”
One person said, “We are still not ready for this.”
Some fans also referenced the storyline. “Is baar Humza Major Iqbal ki fielding set krdega 🔥,” expressed one fan.
Another joked, “Is Baar to Kuch alag hi pak raha hai Ranveer bhai to bilkul danger lag re hai 😂.”
