Rapid Antigen Test At VSSUT: Delhi-Based Firm Claims Kits Not Defective

Sambalpur: The Delhi-based Oscar Medicare Ltd, which was issued a show-cause notice by the Odisha government regarding supply of faulty rapid antigen test kits, has claimed that the test kits have no defects.

As per sources, a team of officials of the company arrived at Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla on Sunday and conducted a live demo of the rapid antigen test kits in the presence of COVID nodal officer of the institute. During the demo, none of the test kits supplied by the company was found defective.

After the live demo, the company officials informed the VIMSAR authorities.

It may be recalled that 25 students of VSSUT had tested positive for COVID-19 during the rapid antigen test at VIMSAR on February 26 and 27. However, they later tested negative during the RT-PCR test.
