Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh Says Kidnapping Complaint Against Him Is ‘False’ & ‘Baseless’
New Delhi: Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh has claimed that the reports of him kidnapping and assaulting an event organiser are ‘false’ and ‘baseless.’ The BKC police in Mumbai have registered an FIR against the singer and are investigating the matter.
Honey Singh shared a statement on Instagram that read, “The complaint and the allegations are false and baseless. There is no connection or agreement between my company or the complainant which the media is showing since morning. I was engaged for the Mumbai Show through a company named Tribevibe which is a reputed company and a sister concern of Bookmyshow. I did my performance for whatever time the permission was there for (sic).”
Honey Singh also mentioned that his legal team is planning to file a defamation case against the accuser. “Rest all such allegations are false and an attempt to tarnish my image. My Legal Team is already working to file a defamation case against such miscreants (sic),” he added in his Instagram post.

Vivek Ravi Raman, the owner of Festivina Music Festival, claimed that the dispute erupted after the cancellation of a music festival titled Yo Yo Honey Singh 3.0 by Festivina on April 15 at MMRDA Grounds in BKC. The complainant alleged kidnap and assault by the singer and his team members, India Today reported.
According to Raman, on the day of the event, he visited the venue and had an argument over non-payment. Following the tiff, he decided to call off the event. In his complaint, he alleged that following the cancellation, the Punjabi singer and his crew got very upset and angry and allegedly attacked him. Raman has also stated in his complaint that he was kidnapped and taken to JW Marriott, Sahar, Mumbai by the singer and his team, where he was physically assaulted, which resulted in him getting badly hurt, the report added.
