Puri: Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik has crafted a stunning sand sculpture on Puri sea beach, featuring 101 Lord Jagannath idols to celebrate the annual Rath Yatra.
The artwork depicts Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra on their majestic chariots, honouring the centuries-old tradition revered globally.
Using about 4.5 tonnes of sand, Sudarsan and his sand art institute students have created this intricate piece, conveying the message “Jai Jagannath- A Journey of Faith and Unity.”
The sculpture, blending devotion and artistry, has drawn thousands to Puri beach, spreading the festival’s values of devotion, equality, and unity.
