Cuttack: Bidanasi police on Friday arrested the director of a real estate firm in connection with a land fraud at Patia in the Odisha capital.
The arrested has been identified as Pankajini Jena, Director of Sarala Realcon Pvt Ltd. She is the wife of the MD of Sarala Realcon Gayadhar Jena, who was arrested by EOW of Crime Branch for duping buyers of around Rs 50 crore in 2015. Saheed Nagar Police had arrested him on similar charges in 2013.

According to the complaint filed by Santosh Kumar Sahoo of Bidanasi, Pankajini had taken Rs 30 lakh from him with a promise to provide him with a piece of land at Patia.
Basing on the complaint, Bidanasi police registered a case and initiated a probe on March 19.
