Remaining Plus II Exams In Odisha After COVID-19 Lockdown, Says Minister

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday said that it will announce the revised dates for the pending examinations after the second-phase lockdown ends on May 3.

This comes close on the heels of the Human Resource Development minister Ramesh Pokhriyal’s directive to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Education ministers of all states to start the evaluation of the answer papers of Class X and XII Board examinations and hold the remaining exams.

Talking to the mediapersons here, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said his department will announce the revised schedule for the remaining examinations soon after the lockdown and take necessary steps to evaluate the papers with strict adherence to the social distancing guidelines.

Since some examination centres have been converted into government quarantine centres to accommodate the  migrant workers intending to return to the state, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has been asked to identify new centres to conduct the examinations, he added.
