In its affidavit, which was submitted to the court by the N K Mohanty Commission and the amicus curiae, the ASI also informed that the Gundicha Temple and Mausi Maa Temple are in urgent need of repair as cracks have developed on the roof of these temples.
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) assured the court that it would bear the expenses towards the repair of these two temples. Following which, the court told them to take up the repair work in accordance with those suggested by the ASI.
With regard to Nata Mandap of the Jagannath Temple, the court directed the SJTA and ASI to form a joint committee to identify the location where the repair work would be taken up. They are required to inform the court about the framework and the progress of repair work within 15 days.
