Odisha Shocker: Retired Lecturer ‘Shoots’ At Businessman Over Parking Space In Balasore

Balasore: A verbal duel over a minor issue led a retired college lecturer to allegedly shoot at a businessman injuring him critically in Balasore town on Saturday evening.

According to sources, the former lecturer was engaged in a spat with the businessman regarding parking of vehicles in an apartment near Gadgadia Chhak. As the altercation escalated, the senior man brought out a gun and fired at the businessman.

The businessman started bleeding profusely and fell unconscious. Locals rushed him to a nearby hospital. Later, he was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his condition deteriorated.

Police have detained the retired lecturer but the identity of the businessman has not been confirmed.
