Mumbai: Day after arresting Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty and deceased actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s house manager Samuel Miranda in the drug case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) also took in custody Dipesh Sawant, Sushant’s cook.
“Dipesh Sawant has been arrested by NCB for his role in procuring and handling of drugs. He has been arrested based on statements and digital evidence. He will be produced before court tomorrow at 11 am. Cross-examination of arrested people underway,” the Deputy Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
However, the NCB has arrested a total of eight people in connection with the case and it is expected that Rhea would also be arrested soon.
According to sources of Zee Media, the NCB may arrest Rhea on Monday (September 7). It is learnt that the NCB is likely to issue summon to Rhea for questioning on Sunday (September 6) and speculation is rife that the actress would be taken in custody soon after.
