Mumbai: The entire planet is looking forward to a much better year after the coronavirus-ravaged 2020. None more so than Rhea Chakraborty, the main accused in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
While the global pandemic was declared in March, Rhea’s world changed after boyfriend Sushant was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14.
She was arrested on September 8 by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), on charges of procuring drugs along with Sushant, and spent a month in Byculla jail before being granted bail.
Now, as we step into 2021, it won’t be long before Rhea makes her Bollywood comeback, according to writer-director Rumi Jaffrey.
“Rhea will return to work early next year,” Rumi was quoted as saying by Spotboye.
“I met her recently. She was withdrawn and quiet. Didn’t speak much. Can’t blame her after what she has gone through. Let the heat and dust settle down. I’m sure Rhea will have a lot to say,” Rumi added.
Rhea’s last released film was Jalebi, in 2018.
Just the other day, her lawyer Satish Maneshinde welcomed Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh’s statement urging the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to reveal the findings of the probe into Sushant’s death.
