Bhubaneswar: The Odisha contingent stood tall at the Asmita Khelo India Women’s Weightlifting Championship (East Zone) held at Kolkata.
Odisha’s female lifters bagged 6 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals. The state won team trophies in Youth, Junior and Senior categories.
The icing on the cake was Odisha girl Priteesmita Bhoi being awarded as the Best Weightlifter in the Youth category.
