Mumbai: Television actress Aahana Kumra, who was recently seen in Ashneer Grover-hosted ‘Rise and Fall’, is receiving rape and death threats from Pawan Singh’s fans for certain comments she had made about the Bhojpuri actor on the reality show.
Aahana and Pawan made peace with each other subsequently, but the latter’s fans are still upset with the actress.
Aahana, who got eliminated from the show last week, revealed about the threats during an interview with Bollywood Bubble.
“Jab main show se bahar nikli, then I got a lot of death threats and rape threats (When I got eliminated from the show, I received several death and rape threats). I even sent screenshots to the makers showing the kind of threats I was receiving. So why was I getting such threats? Maine toh aisi koi baat nahi kahi thi. Maine na kisi ko gaali di thi show mein, na hi kuch aur. (I didn’t say anything wrong. I didn’t abuse anyone or say anything offensive on the show),” Aahana said.
“It happened to me, and I was like, oh wow, hum log kaunse zamane mein reh rahe hain? Kis sadi mein hain ki meri ek baat kehne par mujhe itne threats mil rahe hain, itni cheezein mere baare mein boli ja rahi hain, par kisi aur ko kuch nahi kaha ja raha (It happened to me, and I thought, Wow, in which age are we living in? which century is this where just one statement of mine has sparked so many threats and people are saying nasty things about me),” Aahana wondered.
Despite the outrage, Aahana stated that she still respects the Bhojpuri actor as he is the only one who apologised to her after saying nasty things about her on the show.
