Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday approved 23 new industrial investment proposals worth Rs 4,112 crore, which are expected to generate nearly 10,000 jobs across 11 districts in the state.

The clearances were granted during the 144th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg.

The approved projects cover a diverse mix of sectors, including mechanical and electrical capital goods, apparel and textiles, aerospace and defence, shipbuilding, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, refractories, aluminium downstream, mineral beneficiation, metal downstream, plastics, glass manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure, and tourism & hospitality. The investments will be implemented in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Debagarh, Ganjam, Jajpur, Khordha, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh, promoting regionally balanced development and wider access to employment, an official release said.

Key Approved Projects

>> Nipha Limited will establish a railway component manufacturing in KKhurda with an investment of Rs384 crore, creating 310 jobs.

>> Inventgrid India Pvt Ltd will set up an Advanced Multi-Drone Manufacturing Centre in Ganjam with an investment of Rs 300 crore, generating 1,000 jobs, marking a major step in the state’s aerospace and defence manufacturing ecosystem.

>> Northern express Infra Dvelopers Pvt Ltd will develop a shipbuilding and ship-repair facility in Bhadrak with an investment of Rs 339.40 crore, creating 507 employment opportunities and positioning Odisha as an emerging maritime industrial hub.

>> JG Hosiery Pvt Ltd will set up an apparel manufacturing unit in Khurda at an investment of Rs 100 crore with a massive annual capacity of nearly 150 million pieces. It is projected to generate 2,350 jobs, making it one of the highest employment-generating projects in this clearance.

>>Water Tech India Pvt Ltd will establish a plastic-based products facility in Ganjam with an investment of Rs 387 crore and create 975 jobs.

>>Alventa Pharma Ltd will set up a pharmaceutical formulation unit in Khurda with an investment of Rs 100 crore, creating 250 jobs

>>In the mineral and steel-related sectors, several large initiatives were cleared for Sundargarh and Deogarh, including Kalinga Metalics Limited’s 4 MTPA iron ore beneficiation plant (Rs600 crore, 700 jobs) and Shree Ram Iron and Alloys Private Limited’s 0.8 MTPA pellet plant (Rs 250 crore, 475 jobs).

>>Tourism received a boost with multiple hospitality projects, such as a 5-star hotel by MK Assets Private Limited in Khurda (Rs 210 crore, 240 jobs) and another by Manjeera Hotels and Resorts Private Limited in Puri (Rs 200 crore, 450 jobs).

Other notable approvals include pharmaceutical units, refractories expansions, glass manufacturing, logistics parks, and chemical processing facilities, many involving investments around Rs 50–100 crore each and creating 100–300 jobs per project.

The release emphasised that the state’s Single Window system continues to streamline approvals, improve ease of doing business, and enable faster project implementation. These clearances align with the government’s long-term goal of Samruddha Odisha 2036, prioritising employment generation, sustainable industrialisation, and equitable regional progress, it added.
