Puri: An election flying squad seized Rs 8 lakh in unaccounted cash from an SUV on the Astarang-Kakatpur road under Konark police station limits of Puri district on Saturday night.
Sources said the squad seized cash from the SUV while conducting a raid in the area. A youth was detained in this connection for interrogation. Investigations are on.
Earlier on Saturday, an election flying squad had seized Rs 7.41 lakh in unaccounted cash from a petrol pump in Kahirapola area of Jagatpur in Cuttack district.
