Kyiv: A US journalist has been shot dead in Ukraine’s Irpin, AFP reported quoting medics and witnesses.
Danylo Shapovalov, a surgeon volunteering for the Ukrainian territorial defence, was quoted as saying that American journalist Brent Renaud died instantly after coming in the line of fire.

Two more journalists were injured and have been hospitalised, Kyiv Independent reported.
Irpin, a city of 60,000 located next to Kyiv in northern Ukraine, has experienced heavy shelling and bombardment from Russian forces with Ukrainian army fighting valiantly to hold their own.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24 on President Vladimir Putin’s order.
