SAI International Honours Bijaya Sahoo’s Legacy; Amish Tripathi Delivers Founder’s Memorial Talk
Bhubaneswar: SAI International Education Group commemorated the legacy of its founder Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo through the ‘Founder’s Memorial Series’, held in August, September and October.
On Saturday, the institution presented Advaya — a creatively-designed experience for children and parents aimed at deepening their bond. This year’s theme, ‘Blossoms of Joy’, celebrated the joy of learning and family engagement.
It was followed by the third edition of Founder’s Memorial Talk at SAI International School, where an audience of over 5,000, including parents, educators and students, heard keynote speaker Amish Tripathi.
The acclaimed author and mythologist shared insights on finding inspiration in India’s heritage and importance of staying grounded in one’s roots while embracing personal aspirations.
In a vibrant Q & A session with students, Tripathi offered thoughtful guidance on self-discovery, leadership, and the balance between ambition and humility.
“Finding success in a truly dharmic way and understanding one’s purpose and integrity is beyond just religious boundaries. The four Bodhs — Wisdom, Compassion, Strength, and Justice (particularly shedding light on Swayambodh) — blends both Western ideas and Indian values offering a universal pursuit of truth. Odia heritage, deeply rooted in the rich history of Kalinga and celebrated through traditions like the Bali Yatra, keeps us connected to our roots and identity. Embrace this legacy with purpose — it’s a strength worth honouring. That’s why while countless civilisations have risen and faded, India’s vibrant legacy endures, standing the test of time,” Tripathi said.
The winners of Founder Debate Cup 2024, from classes IX to XII, were felicitated.
SAI International chairperson Dr Silpi Sahoo reiterated the school’s commitment to happiness in education.
“Our core mission is to integrate happiness into education. Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo always emphasised the importance of ‘Happiness Quotient’, placing it above mere intellectual achievement (IQ). We are deeply committed to carrying forward his legacy,” she said.
