Mumbai: ‘Chotey Nawab’ Saif Ali Khan will essay the role of a demonic villain in the Prabhas-starrer upcoming film ‘Adipurush’.
Talking about his negative role, Saif, as quoted by IANS, said, “It’s a phenomenal project and I’m super thrilled to be a part of it! I look forward to clashing swords with the mighty Prabhas and play a role that is electrifying and demonic.”
Lead actor Prabhas is also excited about working with Saif in the film.
Directed by Om Raut, ‘Adipurush’ will be made in two languages, Hindi and Telugu. Later, the film will be dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada among other languages.
Earlier also, Saif had played an antagonist in Om Raut’s film ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’, which featured Ajay Devgn in the lead role.
Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, the film is currently in the pre-production stage and is expected to go on floors in 2021.
“Saif blew us all over with his role as Udaybhan in ‘Tanhaji’, he will take it a notch higher with his role in Adipurush. He is the perfect choice in this battle between good and evil with Prabhas,” said the producer.
