New Delhi: Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal will be allowed to play at Thailand Open 2021 from Wednesday, according to a media report.
Earlier on Tuesday morning, the Badminton World Federation informed that the Indian shuttler had tested positive for COVID-19 and was asked to be in quarantine for 10 days in a Bangkok hospital.
However, India Today quoted unnamed sources in the Badminton Association of India (BAI) as saying that Saina’s positive COVID-19 test was false and she will be allowed to open her campaign on Wednesday.
More details are awaited.
